Thats with all of them . Dust bunnies just keep building up. With the 1710 it builds up real bad inbetween the CPU and vidio card heatsink on the left hand side

I have always used laptoplegs on all my laptops they work great. But I use 3M weather striping glue to put them permenet on as the adhesive gets weak after a while. http://cableorganizer.com/outlet/EFL...LAID=261916218

I just replaced the 100 Gig 7200 RPM Hitachi Hard drive on my XPS 1710 with a 200 Gig 7200 drive and would like recomendations on a decent hard drive enclosure to make for a back-up drive? Thanks
I can't say that it is all that bad in a way to spend $999.00 for a new mobo and videocard upgrade in the future rather then shell out 4 to 6 grand on a whole new machine that has hit it's end of it's upgrade path. But I have to say...
Can't beat a Dell on site or in home compleate care warranty. That is one of the reasons I have had all versions of the XPS Laptops except for the 1730 as my 1720 is still holding its own.
If you are under warranty call Dell! If not run the Dell diognostic to make sure your fans are working proper. Do you have some sort of fan utility program running? If so uninstall it revert back to the fan's running on the systems...
