I would recomend this XPS gen 2 as a desktop replacement.It is the best ive seen.performence, quality and power with mobility and in my opinion you can't go wrong.And it outperformes a lot of highend desktops.

My XPS Gen 2 is as cool as it can be But i was use to my XPS gen 1 which was HOT! I cant even hear the fans when they are on.A big difference between the gen 1 and gen 2 i think it runs cool.
