My TE2000 sometimes exhibit a split of the screen in which the upper portion is fine and the bottom half shows as vertical color strips..This come and goes...if I hit it with my fingers sometimes it goes away and then when I move it...

That means that the fan should operate continuosly, then? I just want to know if possible before putting the machine back together, if posible.....just in case I need to order a fan in ebay... thks....

Thks...would you know about the fan operation? Is it continuos or maybe temp controlled? Mine happens to stop..start briefly..then stop..and so on....the laptop bottom get somewhat hot....thks again....

My TE2000 tends to slow down to a crawl and the task manager shows 100% utilization for long period of times. Based on my previous experience with an ACER Laptop I thought this may be related to overheating, so I removed the cover...
