That would be funny if Intel's ULV chips are simply undervolted versions of regular Dothans. They would be kind of pointless in that case.

If I were you I would just get a desktop to play games with instead of going with a laptop. Plus, the 9200 really isn't that bad is it? I got my laptop just 2 months ago and it has a 7500, and it plays most, err, 2 year old games OK. ...
Do you guys generally leave the battery in the laptop even when using AC power or do you take it out? I know it's kind of a tradeoff between an uninterruptible power supply and battery wear. What do you think?

I think the Li-Ion batteries used these days don't have the memory effect that older NiMH or NiCd batteries had, so you shouldn't have any problems just using it. That's what I did.

If the price is nearly the same, I'd go with the ThinkPad. However, the Latitude's quality should at least be better than the Inspirons', though not quite as good as the IBM's.
