Is the z71v being discontinued? I've been watching a few web vendors for the past month or so (in hopes of catching a price drop) and in the last few days the z71v has started disappearing from some sites.

I thought I read something somewhere about older (pre-sp1) XP discs simply not installing at all on the Asus z71v. Is this true? Does it require a slipstreamed SP on the disc to install Windows?
