set atittool on default profile when you want to return to original clock, and you shouldn't have problem.

When I use atitool I disable ati powerplay, or I set it to the best performance setting, then I load atitool. However, the highest setting I usually use is 405/365 (3018 points with 3Dmark05), and the lowest is 104/119 (the same setting...

I think the best solution is to send e-mails to Acer from all owners of Ferrari 4000 series, asking them a new bios that recognize RAM pc3200 400MHz and turn off the fan when the temperature is low.
