HELL NO! Vim is so much better than Emacs! If you know what you are doing you can develop short scripts so much faster with vim than with any other editor! The hundreds of shortcuts are so very useful! Emacs... bah... indeed...

I would go for a PC and add Fedora Core 4 as it is simply the most hardware compatible thing out there. Seriously, in FC4 Bluetooth, WiFi, Fireware, USB, and my printer worked right off the bat. Amazing. I've never had it this easy...

I plan to partition the Sony T that I may purchase as I am a Fedora Core Man so I will also want FC4 as well as Windows XP (I know... *shudder*). Naturally I will give FC4 the larger partition.
