Why do you want an M90? Just curious. Look to keep specs in a ballpark, but remember that RAM, HDD, etc are cheap and easily exchangeable. Dont pass up a sweet deal if you dont have to .

I dont think you could get the $280 back when you resell it, so the E1705 would be a better choice. However, if you can already get the XPS that low, you might consider getting a 7900GTX, the performance increase is quite substantial...

Wow, I realized I never answered the OP's question. Over the options discussed, the only real benefit of the XPS is the GTX. The faster CPU (T2700) means little extra performance. The brighter screen might just have a better backlight...
