My ultra-mini review of the Senn HD280Pro.
Sounds real nice--natural. A bit light on bass.
Painful to wear for extended periods of time (oh the pressure!).

The one place where my Vista-equipped m1530 is letting me down (a bit) is in disk performance.
I read up on it: Vista is basically 'teh suck' with disk performance.
However, Vista's Service Pack 1 will fix that--I saw the benchmarks.
No, I meant like, for a stupid example, MS Excel. If he runs the 32-bit version of the software, it will actually run slower on Vista64. Something about having to do some sort of translation from 32-bit to 64-bit.

$800 is pretty decent if the machine would truly be game-worthy.
A bit old (from February of last year) bit it compares five setups: Vista clean, Vista Upgrade stripped, Vista Upgrade, XP Stripped, XP. Synthetic and game benchmarks.
