Disable loading sound, turning off all windows sounds for that matter speeded up my boot up time.

About BF2 lag, surprisingly turning off VOIP and putting sound to lowest settings/software solved most if not all of the lag problems. The rest should be solved by a RAM upgrade.

Yeah man I know, still waiting for that gig to arrive but I want to do everything I can before that to make sure it runs smoothly. And yeah last time I alt tabbed while in game the ram usage was at 1.2Gigs

How do I change it on my Toshiba M40, I looked everywhere in the BIOS but couldn't find the setting. I believe my lag problems in BF2 are related to this. Any help is appreciated.

My Toshiba Satellite M40 owns as I said, so I don't know about that junk yard crap. It has very simmilar specs to the most expensive Qosimo, minus the ram but I'm getting another gig soon so yeah. Please don't turn this into a flame...

Can't find it for that price on Staples.ca but yeah, best of luck with FS and don't doubt Toshiba. linky
