Nuh it can be any brand. i saw the M40 and M45 yesterday and i thought it was pretty good. I m looking around 1000-1200 So ASUS is definitely too expensive

Just get one of those 512MB USB jump drivers No worry about the other craps you were talking about Well i have a good camera with 1gig memory and a 512 mp3, i use them as storage sometimes. Works pretty good
