Why would you say it is weak? The AMD 64 bit chip has mopped up the floor with the Pentium from day one. The cost is over 400 dollars cheaper for the Voodoo then for the Alienware. Sounds pretty strong to me.
Give the guy a break, he is just trying to find out how long his battery should last, he must have lost track of the first thread. Why must you be so hard on the guy, he was very respectful in his question?
For over 4,000 smakers, you should have a very smooth out of box set up. When you are paying for a custom built system you need to expect that it was treated like a custom built system not some piece of hardware pulled off a line...
If you bought a system like the Alienware Area51m, don't even ask about battery life, it wont be good because the system will use every bit of power you give it.
Looks like Alienware is out after as much profit as they can get before the end of the holiday season, then they will have to deal with the returns of those who don't want the system they just bought. I hate it when companies start...

I agree, go with Voodoo PC, company is very good to deal with. I am little scared to deal with Alienware after reading these forums.
Call Alienware and find out what the charge is for, if they do not give a valid reason then call the credit card company and dispute the charge, I don't see how Alienware can charge you for a thing if you canceled the order and they...
