okay, here's the deal. i'm buying a laptop within a week and i've narrowed it down to either the dell 6000 or the r4000. i'm a college student so i need some mobility but weight really isn't a problem. i'd also like to play some...
so bottom line is.... should I get a 4000+ or a 3500? (i'm getting 1 gig ram by the way)
do any r4000's owners have an answer to the question above? i'm on the verge of ordering a laptop (within 1 1/2 weeks) and right now my primary choice is an r4000. my only problem is I've heard stories about compaqs...
i read recently at this link.... http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7587-0....sageID=1221066 that even though the AMD athlon 4000+ is a dual channel processor...the hardware for the r4000 does not support dual channels...can anyone validate...
how much did you get it for and where? i'm looking at buying either an r4000 or an x6000.... let me know how it works out....(especially the heat issue)
