do any r4000's owners have an answer to the question above? i'm on the verge of ordering a laptop (within 1 1/2 weeks) and right now my primary choice is an r4000. my only problem is I've heard stories about compaqs...

i read recently at this link.... http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7587-0....sageID=1221066 that even though the AMD athlon 4000+ is a dual channel processor...the hardware for the r4000 does not support dual channels...can anyone validate...

how much did you get it for and where? i'm looking at buying either an r4000 or an x6000.... let me know how it works out....(especially the heat issue)

i'm thinking of ordering an r4000 with 1 gig ram and i wanted to know if it's possible to add another 1 gig (eventually)

do the r4000's have a 6 in 1 media reader port?
