i tried it for awhile but 5308 was still too slow on an m680x with a gig of ram - i went back to xp pro.

the audigy2 zs doesn't support coax. just get the optical-1/8" cable.

I have a 9300 right now, but just bought a M680X on ebay. I'll be selling my 9300 if you're interested (1.6, 128mb x300, 512mb, 80gb). The screen is quite good, but I had to switch and try the Gateway.

I blew around it and it didn't seem to help any. It will still enter D when resting my hand next to the touchpad (not even touching the key) for some reason. How hard is a keyboard install if they will replace mine?

My 9300 has developed a problem where the "D" key will be pressed and repeated simply by touching the key (not pressing down) and by resting my left wrist above the CD drive. It seems like it's oversensitive. Obviously this...

I'd definitely reformat it. Dell puts an awe-inspiring amount of shit on pcs from the factory. It's horrible.

Have you tried installing it from the Dell/XP cds? I think that's what I finally had to do to get mine working on my 9300 after formatting. Too bad Dell is charging for the xp cds now.
