I was told to try CrystalCPUID. you can set multipliers and voltage with that. (also, when I had the mouse plugged into the USB port, it worked much MUCH better.)
popped it in and it worked fine. The chipset and the CPU support PC3200, so nothing needed to be done. I think they jumped up $10 in price though...

FAT32 is readable by win98 and Macs... but...the drawbacks of FAT32 far outweigh any benefits. NTFS it and forget it.

if it wasn't for that card reader part...the T42 would be a great choice. since it has 2 PCMCIA, could you use a PCMCIA/(whatever flash card you use) converter and leave 1 open?
