Systemmax laptops actually give you a pretty good bank for you buck, I have read some reviews on them on some of the laptop magazines and they have been rated very well.

I have always said that Averatec makes the best laptops BANG FOR THE BUCK !!! I had a 3150P and loved it.

I think the CPU's are rated at 100 degrees celcius before they shutdown.

Get the Fujitsu P5020, it has a DVD/CDRW and it is modular so you can take the drive out and put in a modular battery for about 9-10 hours of run time !!! Plus the P5020 only weighs in at 3.85 pounds, but remember this laptop is not...

Do you still have the recovery CD's that came with the laptop ??? Does it have XP on it ?? There may be an option on the CD for it to reinstall XP without you losing any of your data, worth a try. Good luck and God Bless.
