Have you contacted Asus about it? Just curious, is it the Australian W1vc-S007P? Your problem is most likely the GPU fan, as your CPU temperature is very low compared to other Asus notebooks. If the fan noise is coming from the back...
You have to remember that you're trying to display a standard signal (720x480 pixels) on a high res (1680 x 1050) screen. You'll find that if you record in say, MPEG-2, the quality will be average on your computer screen, but when you...
You can get it down in Australia. I'm planning on picking one up in the beginning of December, possibly a bit later. If I do I'll post a review, which is really what I'm waiting for right now...
If your computer came with DDR2-400 Ram, it will run at 400mhz. If you want RAM to run at 533mhz you will need to buy PC2-4200 RAM, which runs at 533mhz. If you have one stick of pc2-4200 (533mhz) in one slot and another stick of...
I really like the look of the 5500...anybody know what machine it's based off? Looks like a uniwell, but Steve listed a WUXGA screen...And it looks pretty
The Ferrari bios currently doesnt let it run at 400mhz, only at 333mhz, but a new bios will hopefully come out that will let it run at full speed, so it is worth getting PC3200. The PC3200 uses the same amount of power as PC2700 (2.5v),...
You can't go higher than PC3200, the chipset doesnt support it...DDR 400mhz will be faster than DDR2 533mhz anyway, because of the better timings. The chipset is only compatible with DDR memory.
Check with acer first, but I think car cut-and-polish would do the job. You'd just have to be careful to use only a small amount, I don't think it should leave any residue.
I can recall someone putting an MT processor in their ferrari, and they had some heat problems, something to do with the bios. The ML processor would definately work, and now that they have the ML-42 it would almost be worth the upgrade....
no, you can't, it's soldered to the motherboard. The best you can do in the future is overclock, which is also a bit risky if you don't know what you're doing.
