Does anyone have a mini-usb wireless card from their 8890/4780/4080/4790 that they do not need anymore? I'm willing to pay about 30 dollars (total) for one and cant seem to find them anywhere online. I just want to get one to clear up...

Are you using the internal mic? If so, don't. the mic port works fine for me with all those boosting options and the volume set high.

you probably need to get it repaired. no way around it most likely.

I think all the 47xx models have the same top (lcd casing) construction. i know that the 4760 is different from the 4780/90/91 which is different from the 4750 though on the bottom.

Resolution's probably too high. I remember reading something saying that these computers cannot drive external screens at resolutions over 1280 by 1024.

A few days ago when I was setting up my 4780 and I inserted my USB PCMCIA Card into the slot along with a USB powered fan. All of a sudden the power to my system turned off (I have done this in the past without any problems however...

did you configure it properly for a cable feed? possibly try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and software.

You would also have to find a way to remove the black box filling the 2nd spot as well as a second fan for the spot as well. It's probably not necessary though.

I think any 2.5" hard drive will work. just look at pctorque and get one of the models they use for current sagers i guess
