Yeah, this I would be very curious in knowing about. I like to have extended play sessions, and don't want the unit crapping out on me in the middle of a match.

I hear that using dental floss works very well. Someone posted that advice here for some other sticker or logo removal question. Give it a try.

Someone in the forum here mentioned it was running good, though I cannot remember exactly where I saw that post. The game is awesome though... if you are a FPS fan, it's a must-have.
