You can do it without the multiport router, its just more complicated, I was wondering if anyone had any luck because I don't have a printer such as that.

In my opinion, the iBook looks a bit cheap to me. I much prefer the look of a powerbook, don't get me wrong, the iBook is a great machine.

It all depends on what you see yourself actually doing with this computer. In the end all it is is one persons opinion over the other.
