You can always use Everest. It's a program that does a couple of benchmarks, shows all the info about your computer, and displays multiple temps.

Where do you get the $5,000 figure from? You can easily configure a 9750 for half of that.

BF2 isn't a multithreaded game so it won't take advantage of the second core.
