Have you guys checked your HDD temperature? What is that at when you're using it a lot? If you had to prop up the touchpad, I'm guessing this looks like heat related to the HDD (right hand side) or the heat being generated on the left...

What is your idle temperature at? Mine stays at ~35°C and rarely touches ~70°C on high loads. I still think this is too hot, but not as bad as you guys or some other notebooks.
Let me correct myself from the last post. Recent reltek driver wants the Soundcore module, so be sure to add that in without alsa or oss support (it'll compile that in itself)
Well, make sure you have sound support completly disabled in the kernel or it doesn't like that.
