oh it's not that you can disable or enable the duel core, but some manufacturers sometimes "forget" or ship out laptops w/out the hotfix that enables both cores

well w/ XP it's a hotfix...forgot which one, but you can Download it from various websites

i believe they were in Vista, but in XP I had to enable it myself... I would assume it will be enabled, I had a 5750 w/ 2.0 C2D and MCE and both cores were enabled as well

I would assume you can play blu Ray w/ the 7950 gtx since the Dell 1710's or 20's had the 7950 w/ the Blu Ray, my uncle has one as well and has no issues playing ....hmmm then again he has vista....not sure why xp wouldn't work
