Is there anyway to share out additional memory from my system memory to the videocard in my 1.33 ibook? I know that certain ATi equipped notebooks allow this...but I wasn't sure about my ibook. Still a n00b
I work at compusa....and from what I have seen...about the only laptops that we carry that come even close to an ibook or powerbook are the sony a75 17' notebooks, toshiba qosmio 17 & 15 inchers, and maybe a sony t350. Even then they are more expensive, less stable, and still not up to the build quality of even my 12" ibook.
my 2 cents

I will agree that ibook screens arn't the brightest. As far as ibooks getting dirty: I work at compusa and we have an apple section. We...

I have changed hard drives, memory and other things in pc/mac notebooks before.
I have worked at compusa about a year and I have sold plenty apple notebooks...and actually have never had one exchanged or returned for dead pixels. I would say your chances are good NOT to have one. Cheer up...and get excited...I LOVE my 12in ibook....with its 40gb hd
I purchased my 12in ibook sunday. One thing I kinda missed from my other notebook was the fact that you can't tap the touch pad to click on something. I read up a little bit and found some 3rd party shareware so I could configure my touchpad. It worked pretty well, but I find that I really miss the two finger scroll and do not really need the tapping function of the touchpad as much as I thought. I uninstalled the 3rd party software, but my two finger scroll hasn't come...
