i tried all that and nothing in the end it came back on its own i think lynksys routers needs more firmware updates
rebooting doesnt fix the prob i noticed the ip number changed so i changed it back but the router still doesnt see the laptop i reseted everything the modem and router but nothing
but it already went into standbye how do i recover the disable port if thats the problem
hi i have the sager 8887 using xp pro the router is linksys befsr41 v.2 when the notebook went into standbye mode because of low power my router stop seeing the notebook any ideas please help thanks
look in your windows folder for dxdiag.exe might be in /windows/system or /windows/system32 depending on what op your using use this prog to test your dx 9 if you cant find bye looking use windows to search the file on your comp...

i have the 8887 its pretty quite compared to my older laptop the heat i noticed seems to be on back right side with laptops uasly a good idea to get some kind of cooler

during router setup try reseting router then reboot if that doesnt help try disconnecting modem power for a min then reconnect then try to continue thru linksys setup
