Just unearthed my 5760 after the desktop died. Still going strong. Not nearly as fast as I'd like, so thinking about picking up another Sager- best bang for the buck that I've found so far. Do know about the design issues as my 8790...
I've ordered a couple times (8790 + 5760) and may possibly get another (8150?). The 8790 was through PC Torque and the 5760 was directly through Sager. Both times shipped to Japan. IIRC, the warranty would be in effect, but I would've...
G-Omaha just updated his 8790-review thread (still going). Mine melted down yearrrrrs ago and I replaced it w/ a 5760 (that I'm typing this on as my desktop died the day before yesterday). Thinking about picking up another, newer,...
Glad to see the ol' beast is still running, G! Mine was history long, long ago. But the 5760 replacement is still going strong. In fact, I had to pull it out of mothballs the day before yesterday as my desktop died. So I'm back on Sager...
Wow. It's been a long time since I've been around here. Have to say, the 5760's been rock-solid. What a machine. Most bumps & burps I've had w/ it are Windows-related, so can't really say anything to Sager about that! Clock For some...
I'll be the first to say that, "Yes, it is so bad." Keep in mind, I only used it for two weeks on my 5760, then couldn't take it any longer. Completely fed up w/ the UAC and the ridiculously buried menu items, I nuked it and...
Purchased an 8790 (thru Sager via PCTorque) & a 5760 directly from Sager. Neither w/ the pixel coverage. Neither had dead pixels. Did find a lit (red) pixel on the 8790 after a time, but it was all but unnoticeable.
I've got one. It's heavy and I'd be shipping from Japan. Will have to check to see how much that'd cost. Slow boat might be semi-reasonable. If you need it ASAP, it might not be worth the trouble. I've moved and have it packed up...
Hey, chief- long time, no see. Glad to hear that you're still troopin' along. Can't argue w/ service like that. I've actually been considering picking up a little 12"~13" rig for traveling. Now that I lug around a Nikon D300 +...
Mandriva Linux Having moved recently, I've no clue where my XP disc is, so I'm still stuck in the water. Have been using my Dell 9300in lieu of having the 5760 "fixed." Painful going from Dual-Core back to a Pentium-M. Ugh....
