be prepared to do some work setting up wifi in kubuntu on you m1710. Intel has released drivers but they are still in beta, so they wont work out of the box with dapper. Shouldnt be too hard to set up though. And to the OP, what version...

i was actually wondering more about the heat than the benchmark scores. The d810 with a 2.13ghz runs fairly cool, but the d800 with a 1.7ghz banias chip would regularly reach 70C.

i still say its the money. Every laptop they make other than the m170 uses an al heatsink for video card and cpu. now they can get rid of cu heatsink production altogether. BTW, do you know anything about production costs for al and cu?...

i can run aoe2 on integrated gfx, it doesnt stress the computer at all. try 3dmark06
