for your resolution question: i had WSXGA on my 5720 [17"] and i still thought text was too small for me. I think WSXGA on a 15.4 would be more reasonable, WUXGA is overkill and it would probably be impossible to work...

i had the same question when i first looked at the 5720. I went w/ pcTorque for 2 reasons: 1 - Better prices 2 - This HUUUGE forum, its good when you have this many people to talk to if something goes wrong.

if you are worried about the reliability and response time of fixing a laptop, then there is no question ... go with the dell. With completeCare and onsite warrenties, it will get fixed asap ... whereas with Sager you will be waiting...

i read that gaming off an external isnt as bad as one would think. Provided you max out system ram at 2gb, it should run pretty smoothly except in loading screens [which might take a little longer]

dont get acer 4404, get 4402. 4404 has a 4200rpm hd... very slow. I also hear acer's lcds are very lackluster, so you might want to get something thats easy on your eyes.
