Go toshiba because it will be alot more reliable and will most likely have better airflow and cooling. Many people have been having odd problems with a 9750, stick with the toshiba unless you NEED the gaming power.
They feel very solid but you still dont want to mistreat them. I liked how the lcd-case swivel joint was nice and solid [had lots of resistance]. The only part of the case thats extremely poor was the dvd-drive tray. when it pops out...
a nice targus XL case will do just fine, and its only about ~$50

me thinks there needs to be some small driver fix for the realtek audio interface so that when you choose to remap, it turns internal speakers off. Then you wont have to worry about trying to fix the Overamplified port.

Internal speakers SUCK, they are ok for windows beeps, but fail miserably for any kind of music. They're so bad you wont be able to notice the hiss since you'll be strugling to hear the music. the hiss is INATE to the headphone PORT...

the headphone port on the 5720 is simply puts out front-stereo. Connecting speakers to the 5720 will yeild little-to-no hiss ... but once i connect real headphones to the 5720 the hiss present , and unbearable for some.
