Yes, most likely (I trust Justin from ProPortable) DVI is off until sometime next year on another refresh or something like that. I'm glad I didn't cancel my order to wait for the DVI version.

I haven't tried Omega's 5.8 drivers (released today). One of the changes is "X700 Mobility support". Anyone care to test them? I would prefer to change Ati's stock 5.8 drivers with Omegas (I can't stand CCC!)

Nope, sorry didn't try them as Ati drivers work, and omegas are still 5.7

2507 here with 2.0GHZ 80GB 5400 HDD & Ati 5.8 drivers, symantec corporate edition & several other programs running in the background Amazing PC!

The fan on my machine is very good - it can't be heard at all (or at least I can't) Doesn't bother you at all The only thing that feels a bit strange is the keyboard - it will take me some time to get used to key placements
