Dell have used a variety of brands in 9300 and XPS. The concensus on other threads suggests you'll be ok with any major brand. I replaced the Samsung ram in XPS with 2 Gb of Crucial and works fine.

Ordered my XPS2 on 15 June and Dell charged my credit card on 20 June. I was given a delivery date of 25 June and received it 23 June. Great thing, was able to play with it for 3 weeks before settling the credit card balance.
