Keep in mind though that the clearer the sound, the more you are gonna notice that you are listening to mp3s and not proper audio files. Like listening to mp3s with great headphones, the end result is actually a worse experience.

Not true, you can easily disable hyperthreading for specific programs. Load the program, then open your Task Manager, find it on the Processes tab. Right-click the program, go down to Set Affinity. You should see CPU 0 and CPU...
