Get a 3.5" 7200rpm drive and an enclosure (with support of things you want like sata/ide, usb/fw/esata etc) and make it yourself. Its much better, cheaper and expandable than an external hd.

Think of ES chips like beta software. It has bugs and doesn't perform as good as the retail product. However, ES chips come upwards CPU multipliers unlocked for testing purposes, this gives good overclock potential.
