Something similar happens to my 7700. When its fully charged, it just will not power up off battery. The Alien head lights up for 2 seconds, then it goes off. Although absolutely no problem with using the power adaptor. Its back to AW...

I just checked my plug on my power adapter aswell, and yes, I have the burn marks on one of the prongs. I'm not happy with this so i'm gonna give AW a ring in the next few days. Now im glad I just extended my warranty to 3 years..
