LOL busted!
Returned my first 5680 with one bad pixel, my second 5680 is zero bad pixels and holding!
I've come to the conclusion (based on responses here and personal experience) that when plugged in standby should be used and when on battery and you are away from your computer for an hour or more hibernation or shut-down should be used.
Good question I would like to understand this better also. BUMP!
5680. Ordered on Sunday, shipped on Tuesday, received on Wednesday. CC Order with UPS 2 day.
I would get the highest performing hardware you can afford in this order: 1) RAM 2) HD 3) Processor
I would suggest the UXGA and if you are a FPS nut then drop down to 800x600 (still a native resolution 1600x1200 / 2) to get the frame rate. UXGA is the best of all worlds IMO.
Well I think that you just have a bad one. My headphone jack is snug and tight. In fact I have to use a little force just to get it in.
Good questions Delta.
I've had my 5680 for less than a week and no dead pixels yet. I wouldn't stress about it too much if I were you. Enjoy your baby!
