either the battery is bad or the charging circuit on the mainboard is bad. doubt software has anything to do with it
the 8100 has the same problem as the Ferrari 4000. there are 2 boards, the mainboard and power board. the join together under the keyboard, middle right of it. place pressure there and the video will get better or worse. if that...
loose, dirty screen rotation button?
mainboard damage I bet

biased, but I would say that most of the Acer hate is from frustrated users that do not know how to maintain a computer. If you could see some of the filth that I see on a day to day basis you would facepalm. e.g. my system overheats...
probably a failing lcd.
sounds like a bad mainboard.
sometimes, for hybrid graphics. you have to go into the bios, change from hybrid to discrete, boot to the os and load the discrete drivers. then go back in and set it back to hybrid.
yeah.... Acer isn't withholding anything. Check your drive, if the bios does not recognize it that is your problem. try a smaller drive, might be a size limitation. if it is still not recognized then it could be a bad mainboard.
