Maybe it's just me but why would the "looks" of your notebook have such high importance? Are you going to be wearing it? I must be old school, but somehow a pair of LED "alien" eyeballs on my notebook don't appeal....

I have an R50P with a small home office network and I have no problem seeing the other wired machines on the network all in the same workgroup. They are there every time. That is a weird one.

No offense but read the fine print very few will take back a return. Especially some Ebay "dealer". IBM has a 30 day return policy no questions asked. You will NOT find that anywhere else, if so post the link.

I haven't been able to find any decent IBM forums either, surprising consider the zillion thinkpads out there. The one above at thinkpads.com is pretty useless.
