Hey, got a question. What's your opinion on the A900 vs. the AD900? The latter isn't mentioned much, but the people I've talked to claim that it has better bass and mids. Is there a place besides bluetin.com where I can get the AD900 cheaper?
6800 Ultra I meant.
BTW, there's a leak from that same site that leaked the G70 details. This time it's about ATI. If those numbers hold true, I think that the mobile parts will present a heck of a challenge for NVIDIA to top. This is good news for consumers like us.
That site has a really bad (or good depending on how you see things) habit of leaking information out. Obviously, they have some source or they'd be sued like heck for breaking the NDA.
Looks promising, but I won't trust anything (even myself being an ATI fan) until I see independent benchmarks. Then again, what NVIDIA said was truth, so ATI can't bend things TOO far. It's good to see that
1) The extra time finally resulted in a better product.
2) This is no paper...
The screen is low resolution, but the actual brightness and screen quality is top notch, better than any other Fujitsu, Sony, Toshiba, you name it out there. You've gotta compare these side by side in the stores to see the difference.
It's very clear now that Sony will be discontinuing the A series very soon, leaving it without a flagship product. Does anyone have any leads, rumors, speculation as to what Sony will offer next and when it will happen?
I'm hoping to see lower price, better performance, the same great screen, and a better graphics card (X1700 or 7600 would be nice) this time around.
If my predictions are correct, the 5720 should be very similar in cost to the 9880/9890. In addition, the price difference between a 6800 Ultra and a 7800 GTX at Hypersonic is a relatively low $163, much lower than the $350 figure that Dell cites. I could only imagine the Sager pricing to be similar or even less. Even so, you could conceivably downgrade to an Ultra to stay within budget, and it'd still run circles around the X700.
