which tape/paste are you referring to? excluding the CPU there is 2 more chips that have the paste.. but 1 of them (lower) has got some metallic soft plate thingy. are you referring to that one?

how do you exactly deep cycle? if deep cycle means use till 0% yes, as always.. my external battery 4000 mAh, i dont really have a option but, i always end up using it till 0%. that is the way it works.. it uses the external first....
ya true in regards to PM settings.. as for my battery. it's rated at 14.4v 4800 mAh. but now it's 3471. i just got the laptop in september. should i go send/swap the battery for new? is it possible to do so?
do you think it's a good idea to replace the original thermal tape/whatever it is with good stuff like artic silver or equilvalent?
anyone noticed that the CPU blades are pointing anti-clockwise but the motor rotates clockwise. isnt it odd? shouldn't it be turning anti-clockwise also?
