My battery life actually went up by approximately 1:15 to a maximum running time of 4:30 on battery-mode.
Temperatures also dropped by approximately 10-15 degrees.
I have been blessed (as far as I know) with a screen that has ZERO light leakage and ZERO dead pixels.
So, speaking from my part, I have not had a problem with my WSXGA+
I have all that done plus having 1 gig of ram, and having undervolted my computer to .700 \ 0.956 and I can barely get 4:30 out of it with the screen set to 3 from the bottom, and all hardware except wi-fi and the CD/DVD drive turned ooff.
Pre-undervolting
0.998V at 8x
1.356V at 16x
Average of mid 30s idle HD temp, mid 40s to mid 50s active HD temp
Post-undervolting:
0.700 at 8x
0.956V at 16x
Average of 29 idle HD temp, 40 degree max HD running temp
