gparted has worked well for me using just the ubuntu live disk. No problems resizing ext3/XFS/NTFS partitions. It just takes some time.
This is troublesome for me. I use the G5 and the Saitek gaming keyboard which both look to be the biggest problems. I love both and don't want to give them up. Link
That is a great price. If I didn't have 2G already, I would probably go for it and recommend that for anyone with 1G and on the fence.
I am also a fan of Ceramique. AS5 is probably better thermally, but ceramique is more "worry free" IMHO. Either route is a nice improvement and worth doing if you are opening up your laptop (both CPU & GPU).
