No offense, but you can get an almost identical (besides the paint job) system from ABS PC's. It's called the Mayhem G1 and it's $1700...that's $1500 less than you paid for your paintjob..er...I mean your Voodoo.
Kindser, I ordered a 2nd G1 just in case the battery went dead on my first. Also trying to tone up a bit, so I thought carrying both notebooks around all day would help. Figured, too, that with all that heat emitting from the 2...
I, personally, wouldn't get to hung up on that issue. Sure, it happens (I'm guessing rarely, and has not happened to me), but it's such an intangible I wouldn't let it serve as a factor in deciding what notebook to buy. Basically,...
So, Datheron, for intense gaming you're probably looking at maybe 3 hours as opposed to 4 on the "M"? That's still a pretty good number. Makes me sometimes question my decision to buy the P4 notebook. To be perfectly candid...

Really got a couple clarification questions. First a little background. I started a thread comparing the "M" class to the P4 and it pretty much got twisted, turned, and convoluted into a Philsophy 101 class. Was pretty...
My opinion is the battery life on the G1 serves as a personal reminder letting you know that "You've been playing COD for 1 1/2 hours, it's time to move on and do something productive".
So do you think the binded booklet with the baggies is helpful, or even worth the effort of bugging ABS to get? Basically, does it have any really relevant info contained therein?
Extremely portable desktop sums up the G1. You're hooked to the powercord like Chang was to Eng (the original Siamese twins). However, if you're willing to put up with a plugged in notebook you'll have a system that kicks some major...
