It is a PCIe chip that uses the HSI bridge to get it to work with AGP. It would be too much of a problem to make it for the XPS Gen 1. BTW. I bought one ( the 7800GS ) for one of my main AGP rigs. My x800xt PE beats it slightly ( 2% to...
Glad to hear those tips worked for someone. I tried with a week 34 and week 50 card with no success. I would run the ATItool or ATI Tray Tool artifact test at stock speeds to make sure those extra 8 pipes are good. They probably are if...
Yes. Those pens are really not meant for very fine work. If it is not too late, try putting some of the "paint" on the tip of a needle for very fine application. You might have to apply a couple of layers when using a needle....

I don't know about battery life ( probably a bit shorter given the larger L2 cache - and increased current draw ), but I DO know that they run hotter and are slightly slower than their same-clocked Northwood bretheren. This is old...
I think very low above week 40. My week 34 card didn't unlock any pipes so it looks like disabling the pipes on the die is random for week 40 and earlier and almost certain for week 40 and newer. I don't know how the binning process...
I have a 12-cell battery but have never been away from AC long enough for it to run down. I am guessing you would get just over 2 hours of normal use out of it as mine is usually at 60% after about an hour off AC. OK. I don't know if...
