I installed the anti-virus cd, it's good! Gives you a couple of months subcription, i think i have another 2weeks before mine runs out. In anycase, it's always a good idea to have some form of firewall and virus protection running.

BF2 runs well, i also have it on 1024 x 768, some settings on medium, some on high. It's stable and smooth.

I've played doom3, farcry, black and white 2, about an hour of WoW and everything ran fine. Mobilemeter recorded an average temp of about 65C whilst playing, not cool by any standards but certainly not overheating.

I have a Qosmio and a 4005 (am typing on 4005). I've found that the Tosh is a better multimedia machine, more thought was given in terms of the OS (it had media edition installed) and a has a tv tuner too, however I much prefer my 4005....

go to run, then type msconfig, then click on the startup tab. Perhaps there are a few processes that you don't need?

Where do you find the make of your hd? I look in device manager, properties, manufacturer and it says "standard ". I've got a 4005.

I know this isn't relevant, but i just took a look at my adapter...it's made by Liteon! I thought those guys only made DVD drives? As for the adapter issue, i've used my Ferrari in both UK and Taiwan and didn't really notice any...
