I upgrade my M1710 from XP to Vista without an issue with wifi light... Why don't you just disable the wifi and enable again to see if that helps.

The Vista display the lowest score, not on an average...... That happen to be my HD too.

Just remember to clean the heatsink for both CPU and GPU at least once every 6 months (depends on how often you use, I got my lappy on almost 24/7)

Is it truth that 7950 has higher mem speed than 7900?? I have never using higher setting other than 725 in mem, because the BIO bootdisk highest one is what I currently used. I am too lazy to set ant higher, but wondering if that is why...

Yes, he is right. I have a old m170 before the M1710. I don't think is necessary to upgrade the M170, the speed wasn't that great of deal to upgrade, unless you are into gaming... The newer 7900GTX is faster than 7800 GTX and also runs...
