does anyone know if they are going to release any updates so you can control fan speed, i like to leave my laptop on for the night but with this p4 laptop the noise is unbearable

for mandriva there the acpi is a lot better but in my case since i have stupid p4 its recommended to leave the fan always on....but there is definately alot of improvement in ACPI...i think that can go for any distro...hopefully one day...

i installed it on Mandrake 10.1 man i must say OPENOFFICE is beautiful i have OO for both linux and windows and its just soo fast...java rocks SUN ROCKS!...i love open source

sony only highend laptop is the bx570 which comes with an optional x700 dedicated graphics card, other than that sony is mainly focusing on the ultra-mobile market, if u want some thing with better graphics look at companies like sager...
