I actually bought this machine. I returned it. Basically, I was unhappy with graphics performance (MUCH worse than 9000) and processing speed. The screen also was hideous. Very very bad blue splotch (not a dead pixel) in the center...

Dvds are designed at 720x5-something res. Since your display has over twice the pixels as the dvd, it's going to look grainy. Try setting the resolution to around 800x600 then watch the DVD at its full size, not stretched. Should look...
