What are the steps I should take when upgrading my drivers? Right now Im using the factory 84.something. Do I have to uninstall them before I install the new drivers??(which would be the 165.01 drivers)

No, I didnt blame alienware for me forgetting to plug in one of the sli connectors. I totally admit to that being my fault. And alienware did know about me applying AS5 from the first time I did it months ago. And alienware DID NOT GIVE...

Get your facts straight, DST. I talked to the AW rep and he said that not plugging in the sli connector cable was NOT my problem, and that it has no affect on my issues. So again, dont hijack my thread with complete and utter bullshit....

Oh goody, I'm still getting issues with my hdd. I guess its time to do a full reformat using the windows recovery CD. See you guys sometime next millenia...

Oh, and I'm not sure how big of an impact this has on the gpu temps, but I have a second 19 inch lcd as a second monitor... And I loaded the 165.01 drivers...

Well so far everything seems to be working well. My CPU temp is 52c, but I'm running AIM, MSN, IE, PC Wizard, and reinstalling psCS3. MY gpu's are both at 68c. How do these sound?

haha my bad, I just turned it off and opened up the case to give it a thourough spraydown with some compressed air and I noticed that one of the gpu connectors was disconnected...i must have forgotten to reconnect it after i got done...
