perhaps the lens is broken. they are VERY sensitive, and i don't think throwing ur comp around the room is gonna help

Also, if you can find a computer with the ATI Xpress 200m integrated gfx, they're better than Intel's. (I'm pretty sure you have to get a turion to get the ATI, though)

besides to get the comparable clock speed just multiply by 1.7 so 1.6 pent-m is actually 2.72 so they're pretty close neways

i would go for the dell because the alienwares are just so expensive

ive been looking at a gateway nx560xl. its got a duo t2300 and a mobility radeon x1400. i haven't read any reviews on it though.

speedfan does this its in the freeware sticky at the top of the thread

off the top of my head i think a few acers are like that. the gateway nx850xl could also be an option, not sure if it has a 17" screen (wow i must really be losing it) edit- oops srry didnt see the amd part
