well don't replace the mobo if that is what they diagnose it as. i would suggest building a desktop, or if u need portablity, just get a new laptop since the graphics on the 8890 is a lil outdated and not very good for current gen games

yup, green light is on, and it charges the laptop. i think somethign is wrong with the memory, but i'm on my phillips warranty now so i have to send it in for repair, can't remove the keyboard or nothing

as my 8890 turns 2 years, it gave me a big surprise by not booting after i came home from class and had it in standby mode when i plugged everything in, and lifted the lid, it looked like it was starting to power up though the lcd...

mine too adjusts the volume when using my tivo remote. what's REALLY wierd is the fact that the remote isn't even pointed at the laptop, so it seems like there's some rf interference. from what i have no idea

my battery is starting to die. lucky for me i bought with amex gold and i am expecting a free replacement battery!
